Long time has passed since the announcement of the imminent realease of the TGS Version 0.3.2r3 at the end of may. Since then - in addition to bugfixing - new functions were integrated which justifies a leap to version 0.4.0.

... yesterday we experienced our first server downtime. For the first time in the history of TGS - Content Management we've got a 8 hours downtime. Its just a sporadical timeout, we thought, but after a few responses of customers and users we just knew that cant be a little problem with a self solving reason.

Requirements of TGS Content Management

Here you find a summary of the TGS Content Management requirements.

  • Webserver
TGS Content Management can be installed at all known webservers, but we recommend to use the Apache webserver.
  • Database
TGS Content Management is based on the MySQL database server. All version from 3.2x are supported.
  • Serversoftware
TGS Content Management needs a complete installation of PHP 5.x or newer on your webserver. PHP 4.x is supported until TGS Content Management 0.3.0.
If you're using the Apache webserver it's recommended to compile PHP as a module.
