TGS Content Management 0.5.0 System Requirements
Today we publish the official system requirements for the upcoming TGS Web Management Framework "2008" (TGS Content Management 0.5.0), which is planned for release in end of Q1/2008.
In next days we will publish a first video demonstration of the new Look & Feel, the TGS 2008 Grids, the Packagemanager Tynaptic and the Object Designer. We also will publish in this step the first official White Paper, which will bring some more informations to you.
These are the minimum requirements* needed beforce installation of TGS Web Management Framework "2008" (TGS Content Management 0.5.0) can be successful. You must ensure, that you have XML and Zlib functionality enabled within your PHP installation. If installation TGS on your home or office computer (only for local testing or developing preferred) there are a number of packages for the various operation systems that will assist in establishing these requirements. TGS Content Management brings a lot of optional functionalities to you, if the required extensions are available. So there are some preferred extensions for your webserver installation: - gdLib (PHP Extension) – Used for graphical features, like thumbnails
- Zip-Extension (PHP Extension) – Used for store backups and logs on server
- Apache2 Webserver – Used for show included modules and for best performance and stability
- MySQL RDMBS Databaseserver – Used for best secure, by use foreign keys, and fast InnoDB engine
- PHP Safe_Mode deactivated (safe_mode off) – Useful for some processes
- PHP mod_rewrite (PHP Extension) – Used for „nice URLs“ and higher Search Engine Rankings
- Alternative PHP Cache (APC) – Used for Template Engine cache processes
